Yep, it is a big waste of money as well as time. If your going to get one, make sure that you get trademark as well. This is what happened to us.

We own 3 phpfox sites, all using the .com milplace, luckywebmasters and fizma. Owned the business name, so thought we were covered. Which is probably ignorant but with paying over $1000 each trademark, seriously who can afford that?

We got all 3 databases stolen, so went straight to the lawyers, they said there was nothing that they could do except send a message to tell him to give them back to us. But because the scumbag lives in America it was up to him if he gave them back or not. If we were asking for money, then yes, we would have got it. But because the sites were all hosted on american servers, we were screwed.

This scumbag called then put the databases into his own domain and is now telling everyone that it is his sites and he owns the trademark. We have done all the right things, seen lawyers as well as cyber police and ic3 but so far only 1 of them have got back to us and is looking into it.

The full story is here, but it kinda has a good strange ending for us as our old host from about 6 months ago when this moved our sites, he didnt let them know so they kept the databases for us. untouched lol so now when the databases are back on our sites, we can get him for copyright on the net. If that makes sense lol because it really doesnt to me, as all screenshots from years ago and recent show all our work onsite.

But now because of friends and advice, its been found out that hes been lying about his military career and is geting done for Stolen Valour, his name is crap on the net as well as all of his sites. So in that way, its worked for us, then there is the ex-wives who have come onboard. Its sureal. But what I cannot understand is that we have all the screenshots and proof we dont owe money, we do have hundreds of ppl who are following this and taking shots all around the net, and he was going to get away with it.

But its strange as even tho all those sites were started by us, he is saying he will take us to court as he now owns the copyright of the sites and we dont have his permission to use the name or anything thats onsite. Hope this makes sense lol but its all in the comments on my blog.

Hi Team , Just discovered a really cool function of google webmaster tool. When you log in have a look at your key words..it now separates the double or tripple meanings for the words and displays it showing which page and the use. Very cool
For example for couriers ....it lists courier only 2 varients however for transport
transport, transportation, transported, transporting, transports
